Permissions Setup
Auto Call Scheduler asks for permissions only when they are needed. The exact permission screens can vary by Android version and phone brand.
Common Permissions
| Permission | Why The App Uses It |
|---|---|
| Phone | Places scheduled calls when a schedule triggers |
| Display over other apps | Opens call-related screens when your phone is locked or another app is open |
| Contacts | Lets you choose someone from your contact list |
| Notifications | Shows call reminders and schedule alerts |
| Exact alarms | Triggers schedules at the time you selected |
Contacts are optional. You can type a phone number manually instead.
When Permissions Are Requested
- Phone and display permissions can be requested during setup.
- Contacts permission is requested only when you choose a contact.
- Notification permission may appear when the app first needs to show a notification.
- Exact alarm settings may open in Android settings on some phones.
Battery And Background Settings
Some Android phones stop apps from running in the background. This can prevent scheduled calls from triggering.
If the app shows Background reliability, open it and follow the steps shown there. The screen checks your phone and links to the relevant Android settings.
Re-Grant A Permission
If you deny a permission by mistake:
- Open Android Settings.
- Open Apps.
- Select Auto Call Scheduler.
- Open Permissions or Special app access.
- Allow the missing permission.
Next Step
After permissions are ready, schedule your first call.
