Huawei / Honor
EMUI (and MagicUI on Honor) has multiple layers of battery management that can prevent background apps from running. Follow all the steps below.
Step 1: Configure App Launch Settings
- Open Settings
- Tap Battery (or Battery & performance)
- Tap App launch (or Launch)
- Find Auto Call Scheduler
- Toggle off the "Manage automatically" switch
- In the popup, enable all three toggles:
- Auto-launch
- Secondary launch
- Run in background
- Tap OK
This is the most important step on Huawei/Honor devices.
Step 2: Ignore Battery Optimization
- Open Settings
- Tap Battery
- Tap Battery optimization (you may need to tap the gear icon)
- Change the dropdown to All apps
- Find Auto Call Scheduler
- Tap it and select Don't optimize
- Tap OK
Step 3: Lock the App in Recent Apps
- Open your recent apps
- Find Auto Call Scheduler
- Swipe down on the app card to lock it (a lock icon appears)
This prevents the system from clearing the app when you clean recent apps.
Verify It's Working
- Create a test schedule set 2-3 minutes in the future
- Close the app completely (swipe from recent apps)
- Lock your phone
- Wait for the scheduled time
- If the call triggers, your settings are correct
If it still doesn't work, see Calls Not Triggering for additional steps.
