Repeat Patterns

Repeat patterns let one schedule run more than once.

Open the schedule editor and tap Repeat.

Repeat Options

Depending on your app access, you may see options such as:

OptionWhat It Does
MinuteRepeats after a number of minutes
HourRepeats after a number of hours
DayRepeats after a number of days
WeekRepeats after a number of weeks
Days of weekRepeats on selected weekdays

Some repeat options may not be available in your app.

Repeat Count

Use repeat count to choose how many times the schedule should repeat.

If no repeat count is set, the schedule follows the app behavior shown in the repeat dialog.

Repeat Until A Date

Instead of a fixed count, you can set an end date and let the app work out how many times the schedule should run.

  1. Open the schedule editor and tap Repeat.
  2. Choose a repeat interval first (for example, daily or weekly).
  3. Tap End date and choose Choose end date.
  4. The app shows how many schedules will run up to that date.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • You need to pick a repeat interval before you can set an end date.
  • While an end date is set, repeat count is disabled — the end date decides how many runs happen.
  • There's a maximum number of schedules an end date can create. If your date would create too many, pick an earlier date.
  • To remove the end date, tap Clear.

On the schedule list, repeats that use an end date show Starts … and Ends … labels so you can see the range at a glance.

Selected Weekdays

For weekday repeats, choose the days when the schedule should run.

Example: Select Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for a schedule that runs three times each week.

Changing A Repeat

To change a repeat pattern:

  1. Open the schedule.
  2. Tap Repeat.
  3. Choose a new repeat option.
  4. Save the schedule.

Turning Repeat Off

Open the repeat dialog and choose the no-repeat option, then save the schedule.
