Call Behavior
The Call Behavior card in the schedule editor controls how the call is placed when the scheduled time arrives.
Call Mode
The most important setting. Choose between two modes:
Auto Call (Default)
The app places the call automatically at the scheduled time. Your phone's dialer opens and the call starts without any action from you.
Best for: Calls you always want to make, recurring calls you don't want to think about.
Ask Before Call
Instead of calling immediately, the app shows a reminder overlay on your screen. You can then choose to:
- Confirm: place the call
- Skip: cancel this occurrence
Best for: Calls you might want to skip depending on the situation.
You can set a default call mode in Preferences → Schedule Defaults, so new schedules use your preferred mode automatically.
Speaker
When enabled, the phone's speaker is turned on automatically when the call connects.
Useful for hands-free calls or when you're in a meeting room.
Auto-Hangup
Automatically hang up the call after a set duration.
- Duration: 0 to 120 seconds
- Set to 0 to disable (the call continues until you or the other party hang up)
- Useful for automated status checks or voicemail drops
Ring Before Call
When using Ask Before Call mode, you can enable a ring tone to play before the reminder appears. This gets your attention even if you're not looking at the screen.
Vibrate Before Call
Similar to ring. Vibrates the phone before the Ask Before Call reminder appears.
Respect Airplane Mode
When enabled, the app checks if your phone is in airplane mode before attempting the call. If airplane mode is on, the behavior depends on the call mode:
| Call Mode | What Happens |
|---|---|
| Auto Call | The call is not placed. Instead, you receive a notification showing the contact name and number with a "Call Now" button, so you can manually place the call if you turn airplane mode off. |
| Ask Before Call | The reminder overlay still appears in silent mode (no ring or vibrate), allowing you to confirm or skip the call yourself. |
In both cases, the schedule is recorded as "Airplane Mode Notified" in your schedule history. The call is not automatically retried or rescheduled — it's up to you to act on the notification.
Call Behavior Summary
The editor card shows a summary of your configuration, for example:
- "Auto Call" or "Ask Before Call"
- "Speaker On" if enabled
- "Hangup after 30s" if auto-hangup is set
