Call Reminder (Ask Before Call)
When a schedule uses Ask Before Call mode, the app doesn't dial immediately. Instead, it shows a full-screen reminder overlay giving you the choice to place the call or skip it.
What You See
When the scheduled time arrives, an overlay appears showing:
- Contact name and phone number
- Schedule title
- Confirm button: place the call now
- Skip button: cancel this occurrence
The overlay appears even if your phone is locked (the screen turns on automatically).
Alert Options
You can configure how aggressively the reminder gets your attention, per schedule:
| Option | What Happens |
|---|---|
| Ring before call | A ringtone plays to get your attention before the overlay appears |
| Vibrate before call | The phone vibrates before the overlay appears |
These are set in the Call Behavior section of the schedule editor.
What Happens if You Don't Respond
If you don't tap Confirm or Skip:
- The overlay stays on screen
- The schedule remains in a pending state
- It won't auto-dial. Ask Before Call always waits for your input
Snooze on Conflict
If you're already on a call when the reminder triggers and Call Conflict Protection is enabled, the reminder is snoozed and retried after the configured delay.
Adaptive Reminder
The app also supports an Adaptive Reminder feature (configured in Preferences) that can send you a notification ahead of your scheduled calls, giving you advance notice beyond the immediate trigger-time overlay.
When to Use Ask Before Call

| Calls you might skip some days | Use Ask Before Call |
| Calls where timing matters (meetings) | Use Ask Before Call with ring/vibrate |
