Samsung
Samsung's One UI has sleeping and deep sleeping app lists that restrict background activity. Follow these steps to ensure Auto Call Scheduler runs without interruption.
Step 1: Remove from Sleeping Apps
- Open Settings
- Tap Battery (or Battery and device care > Battery)
- Tap Background usage limits
- Tap Sleeping apps
- If Auto Call Scheduler is in the list, remove it
Step 2: Add to Never Sleeping Apps
- In the same Background usage limits screen
- Tap Never sleeping apps
- Tap + Add
- Select Auto Call Scheduler
This ensures Samsung never restricts the app's background activity.
Step 3: Disable Battery Optimization
- Open Settings
- Tap Apps
- Tap the three-dot menu (top-right) and select Special access
- Tap Optimize battery usage
- Change the dropdown to All
- Find Auto Call Scheduler and toggle it off (not optimized)
Step 4: Disable Adaptive Battery (Optional)
If calls still fail after the above steps:
- Open Settings
- Tap Battery (or Battery and device care > Battery)
- Tap Adaptive battery
- Toggle it off
note
Disabling Adaptive battery affects all apps, not just Auto Call Scheduler. Only do this if the previous steps didn't resolve the issue.
Verify It's Working
- Create a test schedule set 2-3 minutes in the future
- Close the app completely (swipe from recent apps)
- Lock your phone
- Wait for the scheduled time
- If the call triggers, your settings are correct
If it still doesn't work, see Calls Not Triggering for additional steps.
