Calls Not Triggering

If a scheduled call does not start, the cause is usually a missing permission, a paused schedule, or a phone setting that stops background apps.

1. Check Background Reliability

Open the hamburger menu and tap Background reliability if the item appears.

Follow any steps shown on that screen, then return to the app and recheck the settings.

2. Check Battery Settings

Android may stop apps in the background to save battery.

  1. Open Android Settings.
  2. Open Battery.
  3. Find Auto Call Scheduler.
  4. Set it to Unrestricted or Don't optimize, depending on your phone.

3. Check Permissions

Make sure the required permissions are allowed.

Exact alarmsSettings → Apps → Auto Call Scheduler → Alarms and reminders

NotificationsSettings → Apps → Auto Call Scheduler → Notifications

See Permissions Issues for more detail.

4. Check The Schedule Status

Open the schedule list and confirm that:

  • The schedule is Active.
  • The date and time are in the future.
  • The phone number is valid.

If the schedule is paused, tap the resume button.

5. Check Airplane Mode

If Respect Airplane Mode is enabled and the phone is in airplane mode, the app does not dial automatically. It shows a notification or reminder instead.

Turn airplane mode off, then act on the notification or create a new schedule.

6. Check Active Calls

If conflict handling is enabled and you are already on a call, the app can delay the scheduled call.

Check the schedule history to see what happened.

7. Check App Limits

If a schedule shows a limit-related status, the scheduled call did not run because the app stopped it before dialing.

Open the schedule card or the status screen shown by the app for the next available action.

Test Your Setup

After changing settings:

  1. Create a test schedule for 2 or 3 minutes from now.
  2. Close the app from recent apps.
  3. Lock the phone.
  4. Wait for the scheduled time.

If the test call starts, your setup is ready.

Contact Support

If the call still does not trigger, open the hamburger menu and tap Support.

Include your phone model, Android version, and the checks you already tried.
