Permissions Issues
If a permission is missing, some parts of Auto Call Scheduler cannot work correctly.
Check App Permissions
- Open Android Settings.
- Open Apps.
- Select Auto Call Scheduler.
- Open Permissions.
Permission Reference
| Permission | What It Affects | Where To Allow It |
|---|---|---|
| Phone | Scheduled calls cannot be placed | App permissions |
| Contacts | Contact picker is unavailable | App permissions |
| Notifications | Reminder notifications and alerts may not appear | App notifications |
| Exact alarms | Schedules may trigger late or not at all | Special app access |
| Display over other apps | Call screens and caller widget may not appear over other screens | Special app access |
You can still type phone numbers manually if contacts permission is not allowed.
Permission Was Denied
If you denied a permission:
- Reopen the app and try the action again.
- If Android does not show the permission dialog, allow it from Android settings.
Permission Is Grayed Out
Some permissions are under Special app access instead of the normal permissions screen.
Look for:
- Alarms and reminders
- Display over other apps
- Battery optimization
Battery Optimization
Battery optimization is not a normal permission, but it can stop scheduled calls.
Set Auto Call Scheduler to Unrestricted or Don't optimize in Android battery settings.
See Calls Not Triggering if schedules still do not run.
